On this page you can find all our NPCs including their story, their personality and their tasks within the Prehistoria universe!
In general our NPCs can be divided into 4 groups: Story and Lore NPCs, Spirit Trial and Boss Battle NPCs, Activity NPCs and Misc NPCs.
Story and Lore NPCs: These characters are mainly used to help us build our Lore. They can play an important role for a short time before diasappearing again or they can be a more permanent feature in our continuing story, everything is possible!
Tribe Leader NPCs: All Tribe Leader NPCs are the official leaders of one of our NPC Tribes. They can be interacted with through roleplay, do not bring any special bonues however.
Trials of Arwii, Spirit Trial and Boss Battle NPCs: Spirit Trials NPCs, or “Guardians” are watching over the Spirit Trials. As they can change their looks however they want to blend in better they do not have set designs and you can draw them however you want as long as their looks still fit into their species (e.g you may not draw the otter Guardian as lion).
There are no Boss Battle NPCs at the moment as this area is still being reworked!
Activity NPCs: As the name already suggests, these NPCs are especially helpful when you want to use them for activity images. All of them have individual Special Traits which can bring back all kinds of things or increase your chances on rarer items! For more information check out the next part, “NPCs and their uses”!
Misc NPCs: Misc NPCs are all kind of characters not fitting into any of the previous three categories. They might have made an appearance for a while but do not count as Story NPCs because they never added anything to the story of Prehistoria for example.
NPCs and their use
NPCs can be used in any activity to bring back loot. Some of them, mainly the Activity NPCs, have Special Traits as well. These traits will always affect all beasts in the activity image and can range from increasing the rarity of items to giving a chance of bringing back certain items.
Please keep in mind:
– The NPC(s) featured in your entry will count towards the max amount of beasts allowed in the image!
– In order to get the loot from the NPC you will need a tracker. This tracker can be for the featured NPC specifically, or some sort of “global” tracker in which Admins will comment with the loot for all NPCs you add in entries.

Special case Expeditions:
– Only the following NPCs may be used for expeditions: Abyss, Captain, Xanmeer and Dreknar
– You may only add one NPC at a time to your entry
– NPCs cannot be used alone for expedition entries, there always has to be a player’s beast with a Golden Saber Idol equipped as well
Just like Primals and Gods, NPCs can be used for breeding. Slots to them can be gained by claiming Milestones such as “Shiny!” (free choice of NPC) or “Gifts for a King” and “The Master of Love” who give slots to a specific NPC. There also the option of using Silver Apples, which can be found with regular activties during every event. Just pick any NPC you want to use and add the Apple as proof!
Please be aware that Special Traits, such as Fury of Maukai or Raiders of the Lost Islands, cannot be passed down to offsprings as we want our Activity NPCs to keep their usefullness to players.
Most of our NPCs are breedable. There are a few exceptions though! The following list will be updated every time something changes.

Sexual Orientation of the NPCs and breeding: No matter what sexual orientation the NPC has, it does not influence breedings with them in any way! Basically, if you have a slot to an NPC, you can breed them with any beast you want, as it won’t change anything canonically!
There are two main reasons why we decided to add this part to the characters description: on one hand we wanted to add more depth to the character and giving players some sort of base on how their beasts can interact with the NPC. On the other hand we wanted to try to be as inclusive as possible and not just simply say something like “They’re all straight” or “They’re open towards anyone”. We thought it a good idea to not only show black and white, one or all. We wanted to add some color! Which is why we specified which NPCs are gay for example, which ones are Pan, which one isn’t interested in dating at all, and so much more!
