The story begins here:
By traveling all over the world, the Rahutu Clan was used to the wrath of the elements.
One day in the mainland, the signs of a storm were brewing in the distance. By large, dark, low clouds in the sky.
Recognizing the signs, the clan members sprang into immediate action to save as many lives and stock as possible. But the storm took them all by surprise.
Driven by terrible winds coming from the Crystal Tides, it engulfed the clan at a monstrous speed, spreading chaos and terror.
After the deafening sound of a brutal storm, an eerie quiet falls over the Rahutu Settlement. The sea storm tore through their settlement and ravaged the beach, destroying most of their houses.
Luckily, no one had lost their lives.

Start Quest:
You come upon the scene of the Rahutu Settlement in shambles. You had come to make some trades with the Rahutu people, but upon seeing the carnage, you know that won’t be happening any time soon. The whole beach is in chaos as everyone is trying their best to clean up and begin the rebuilding process. Out of the corner of your eye, you notice someone approaching – you turn to see Captain and Abyss. As you have seen, the Rahutu Clan has been devastated and is in dire need. They would appreciate the help, and the Captain assures to make it worth your time by promising a reward in the end.

Depict your beast witnessing the damage from the storm, talking to the Captain and Abyss, or illustrate this part of the story.

Path 1 – Quest 1:
The Captain explains that they could really use some wood to rebuild houses and light fires. They will need the wood quickly, before they are hit by the chill of night or the cold rain of another storm. The Captain points you to some people armed with axes. They explain that the storm has brought down many trees, but even these trees will need to be chopped into usable-sized pieces. But if you can get some wood collected and shelter over your heads, perhaps everyone will be alright – at least for the night.

Depict your beast meeting the woodcutters, helping to cut trees, or illustrate this part of the story.

Path 1 – Quest 2:
Between the group of you, you are able to bring back a lot of wood in a short period of time. The Captain is extremely thankful for your help. Now that they have plenty of wood, there are a number of other stray materials they will need. Things like dried grass, rocks, even mud – they all serve a part in helping to rebuild the Clan. Most of the grass is soaked and must be laid out to dry, but the water means that there is plenty of mud. You will be quite filthy after collecting mud, but the mud is crucial in rebuilding each house.

Depict your beast fetching materials for the Rahutu, gathering mud, or illustrate this part of the story.

Path 1 – Quest 3:
The Captain is impressed with how quickly they have gathered materials thanks to your help. Now that they have the materials, it’s time to start building. The rocks you fetched can be fitted together with mud, which dries solid. Next, large pieces of wood can be fitted into walls and roofs. Despite the haste with which this situation unfolded, the Rahutu people show an incredible amount of skill and precision in their building. With your help, you finish a full house by the end of the day. It’s not the biggest or most beautiful, but it will provide safe and warm shelter. Other houses are being erected all around. It finally seems that perhaps everything will be alright with the Rahutu Clan.

Depict your beast helping to build the house or illustrate this part of the story.

Path 2 – Quest 1:
You follow Abyss to survey the Rahutu’s food stock. All the food has either been swept away, or has been soiled by the rain and mud. None of it is salvageable. As you finish inspecting a rotting piece of elk meat, Abyss and several other Rahutu gather together to form a hunting party. They ask if you would come along to help in the hunt. Most people are occupied with rebuilding, but they won’t have the strength to build if their bellies are empty. The storm washed up many other animals on the island, so it is quite easy for your hunting party to pick off many small prey animals and even a few larger ones.

Depict your beast meeting up with Abyss, joining the hunting party, or illustrate this part of the story.
Beware: If you depict your beast hunting your image still has to follow the image rules and won’t count as activity!

Path 2 – Quest 2:
Your hunting party has gathered a lot of meat, but the Rahutu people cannot survive solely on meat. It’s time to go foraging for fruits, vegetables, and any other plants that may have survived. At first, it seems like nothing edible had survived the devastating storm. But after some through searching, you begin to find some berries here, a few vegetables there, some nuts over here. Slowly but surely, your baskets fill with tasty food to bring home.

Depict your beast foraging for food or illustrate this part of the story.
Beware: If you depict your beast foraging your image still has to follow the image rules and won’t count as activity!

Path 2 – Quest 3:
Your party can hardly carry all of the food you’ve gathered – both meat and plant. Those who stayed behind to build are relieved and thankful for feeding them. After all your hard work, you get to feast with the Rahutu too. You notice that a few small houses have been built in the time that you were gone – enough to start sheltering people out of the cold and rain. Thanks to the efforts of the woodcutters, they start a large fire to cook all the meat that you caught. Vegetables are cooked while fruits and nuts are passed around. For the first time since the storm, some people are smiling and enjoying themselves. The storm may have devastated the Rahutu Clan, but tonight, you can celebrate your small victory.

Depict your beast bringing the food back, feasting with the Rahutu, or illustrate this part of the story.
