The story begins here:
The Rainy Skies has always been a much beloved and anticipated event that all Prehistorians gathered to partake in. Not only was it a way to show their love and gratitude to Hathar, the God of Rain and Waters for giving them plenty of sources of water, but it was also a way to welcome to return of Spring after a particularly harsh Winter.

Some, however, looked forward to the Rainy Skies event purely for the famous Egg Hunt.

Start Quest:
Preparations for the upcoming Rainy Skies event are in full swing; decorations are being made, the eggs are being painted ready to be hidden for the Egg Hunt and in every corner of Prehistoria, one can always smell the wonderful aroma of food being cooked for a grand feast.
But while you and your beast are preparing for the upcoming festival yourself, you suddenly start to hear a commotion – a young boy races into the crowds with round eyes. “You have to come and see this!” They shout, catching everyone’s attention. “It’s raining fish!”
Fish? How odd… You’ve never seen it rain fish before. While you ponder if such a thing is even true, someone else comes rushing over with excitement. “There are birds! Birds! Strange and wonderful birds that… I have never seen before!”
Raining fish and new species of birds? Well, at least the Rainy Sky event won’t be boring, you think to yourself.

Depict your beast in the middle of preparing for the Rainy Skies festival or hearing about the rumours, or illustrate this part of the story.

Path 1 – Quest 1:
You decide to find out whether or not the rumour of it raining fish is true by going to where the boy had claimed to see it raining fish in the first place.
While it isn’t raining fish now, you do see fish flopping around on the ground being picked up by beasts and handlers alike. And then you notice it – Hathar is close by and you start to realise who might be behind the raining fish. And his giddy prancing while trying to keep a straight face tells you he’s excited about something but doing an awful job at hiding it…

Depict your beast asking the boy where it’s raining fish or speaking with Hathar, or illustrate this part of the story.

Path 1 – Quest 2:
After some questions – some of which Hathar pretends he knows nothing of the sort – Hathar informs you that he has also heard the rumours of strange birds.
These birds, he would go on to tell you, sound very familiar to him and is the cause of his excitement. He’s on a personal mission to find these mysterious birds and follow them to wherever they may lead him.

Depict your beast questioning an excited Hathar or joining him on his quest to find the birds, or illustrate this part of the story.

Path 1 – Quest 3:
You decide that it might be a good idea to join Hathar, not just to stop him from causing anymore downpours of fish from the sky but to also learn more about these birds that seem to have gotten Hathar this excited.
It isn’t long before you find the birds… And you hear Hathar blubber when you see the birds are not alone. Imdir, the Goddess of Air and Wind, finally returned!

Depict your beast following Hathar and the birds or finding a way to stop him from making it rain fish, or illustrate this part of the story.

Path 2 – Quest 1:
Fish raining from the sky? No, you don’t think such a thing could be true. But mysterious birds that haven’t been seen before? That’s more likely – perhaps they migrated here from Tetlcuamiztli Island.
You approach the beast who claimed to have seen the birds and ask where they had seen them, or perhaps where they saw the birds flying towards.
“To Imdir’s Spine!” They tell you with a sparkle in their eyes, clearly excited about the birds. “No birds go there! Nothing up there for them!”

Depict your beast asking for directions or heading to Imdir’s Spine, or illustrate this part of the story.

Path 2 – Quest 2:
Climbing Imdir’s Spine is no easy feat; steep drops and jagged rocks pose a threat that makes it easy to understand why hardly anyone comes up here to begin with.
But as you climb higher up the mountains, you start to hear the chirps and shrills of birds you don’t recognise; their songs seem to bolster you and give you courage and strength to keep climbing. You even see glimpses of long feathers the colour of emeralds and the flash of red and blue high above you…

Depict your beast climbing Imdir’s Spine, looking down or perhaps spying a bird they have never seen before, or illustrate this part of the story.

Path 2 – Quest 3:
Higher and higher you climb until you’re close to the snow-capped peaks of Imdir’s Spine.
Here, the birdsong is louder and seems to come from one place only…
There, standing proud and almost ethereal, is Imdir, the Goddess of Air and Wind. Her birds fly and perch around her and she bows her head to you.
“I hope my arrival is welcomed.”

Depict your beast reaching the top of the mountain and finding the birds along with Imdir herself, or illustrate this part of the story.
