Welcome!
Test your beast’s strength in our Boss Battles! Five bosses with different difficulties are waiting for your beast’s challenge to battle out who’s the strongest in the pit!
Disclaimer: The stats of each boss are not final! Since we just started with them we will have a look and see how it goes. If beasts have less chances than we originally though, we are ready to adjust the stats accordingly! Be aware that we tested the stats with beasts that were more and more tacked the higher we went with stages, so please do not expect us to change the stats because a non-tacked beasts fails all the time.
There is a total of 5 stages for Boss Battles. The first stage is the easiest one, but the further you get up, the harder it will be to fight our bosses! So it is always a good idea to add as much bonuses as possible in between stages to keep the battles as equal as possible. Bonuses for Boss Battle are companions or traits for example. Bonded Handlers or Primals do not offer any bonus for Boss Battle, even if they are drawn alongside your beast!
Also, for clarification in case the wording confuses someone: some of the rewards listed for the bosses have limitations. The Event or Special Background on stage 3 for example is listed as “for the first five (5) battles”. This means that you can get a background only for the first five (5) beasts of yours who win on this stage. Every other beast following afterwards will only get the Beads but no background anymore.
It is also possible to fail stages. You failed a stage if your beast reaches zero (0) health or was one hit KOed by the boss. Don’t worry though, you may attempt any stage as often as you want with your beast until you defeated the boss (as any stage can only be won once per beast, see down below for our rules).
If your beast has zero (0) health, there are currently three ways to heal it:
– Healing images
As it already implies, these are images you have to draw of your beast healing itself in a way. You can show your beast applying some leaves for example, or sleeping off a bad hit on its head. The rules for healing images can be found below, next to the rules for the battle entries.
A healing image will restore your beast’s full health after 48 hours. For images to count you have to post them in our Crafting and Boss Battle Cycling Journal under “Healing” and upload them to our “Boss Battle Entries” gallery folder on DeviantArt. Once the 48 hours are over an Admin will automatically update your beast’s import.
– Health Potions
A Health Potion can either be crafted or, if currently available, purchased through the Rahutu Trading Post. It restores instantly 50% of your beast’s health and has to be applied in our Crafting and Boss Battle Cycling Journal under “Healing”.
– Boss Battle Tribe Trials
The Tribe Trials for Boss Battle grant instant healing almost like the Health Potion. However, instead of only healing 50% it restores the full health of your beast. You do not have to comment on the Healing Thread in the Crafting and Boss Battle Cycling Journal, your beast’s health will automatically be restored once it reaches 0 heath or won the battle.

The story behind Boss Battles:
By creating the Code of Honor, the Goddess of Courage and Honor not only wanted to set an example of bravery and loyalty. But she also wanted to prepare mortals for the worst. Especially after seeing the violent bloodshed born of friction between mortals. Assur sensed that this wasn’t the end of violence…
To all those who wished to join the ranks of her warriors, Assur taught them not only to respect the Code of Honor but also to survive. To have self-control, to be strong, but not rigid nor needlessly violent.
She taught them to use physical force only when it was really necessary and that sometimes the power of words could resolve conflicts already.
She taught them to survive in the most extreme places in Prehistoria, from her War Grounds to Larkka’s Tar Pits, to the Imdir Spine or the Amaguq Desert.
She taught them to fight multiple creatures, from the smallest to the largest, with or without magic, showing them both strengths and weaknesses.
She gave them armor to put on to protect themselves, as well as other little tricks to gain Health, Damage, Agility, and Crit.
Assur was proud of the army of real fighters she had trained with meticulous care, feeling the tension fade from her noble heart. They were ready for anything if something happened…
And something did happen.
When Arwii’s brother, K’Malou, left the Void in which he had floated for millennia, he brought with him something that would profoundly change Prehistoria and its inhabitants forever: Corruption.
It mingled with mortals, slipping in like poison or acid, turning them violent and greedy. And some of these corrupted individuals, unfortunately, became known for their malice, cruelty, manipulative personalities or made so corrupted that they went mad.
These individuals were soon called “Bosses” by mortals and were feared and hated by them.
And their presence was what Assur expected. And her warriors, prepared in person by the Goddess herself to fight many types of threats, overcame these Bosses that threatened the peace of Prehistoria. Assur was proud.
But tragedy struck Prehistoria again when Assur and Larkka were also corrupted by K’Malou. Assur, having become the very thing she had tried to teach mortals to fight, became the shadow of her courageous and honorable self. Many began to flee from her in terror. The Code of Honor was forgotten, except by a handful of individuals like the fierce Tamasun Tribe.
Upon her return, the Goddess Umbru reintroduced many things to the mortals that had been forgotten over time. Including about the Bosses when one of them appeared after Larkka’s return…
