Bullseye (Common Markings)

Bullseye

BigDivider

Bullseye is a marking that adds one (1) to three (3) circular patches on the beasts’ design. All patches also have one (1) smaller ring inside of them, like targets used for archery. However, this circle does not have to be perfectly circular and may vary in thickness and be slightly deformed. It is allowed to make the patches a bit more elliptical instead of perfectly circular to fit a beasts’ body (e.g. on the shoulder or hindleg area). Be careful to make the ends not too pointy, though! Neither should it have more than two (2) ends and create a triangular shape for example.
While the color of the circular patches is generally lighter than the picked reference color, using white is permissible as well. This includes using pure white (HEX: #FFFFFF, RGB: rgb(255,255,255)) as well as slightly off-white colors as long as they are still recognizable as white, look natural and are not overly yellow or blue.

Colors

Circular patches
The circular patches, basically the base of the marking, are relevant to the design and will always be lighter than the picked reference color.
Alternatively, the circular patches may be white as well, no matter the base coat color. This includes using pure white (HEX: #FFFFFF, RGB: rgb(255,255,255)) as well as slightly off-white colors as long as they are still recognizable as white, look natural and are not overly yellow or blue.
Feel free to use the following swatch one if you feel uncomfortable picking your own colors!

Please open the sta.sh link by clicking on the swatch and save the image, as taking colors from screenshots or copy-pasted versions might influence the colors. This often leads us to not being able to find the corresponding color on the swatch and we have to send your design to corrections!

Inner rings
The inner rings are relevant to the color picked for the lighter-colored, circular patches and will always be darker than them.

If the design has Free White and it was chosen as a relevant color for Bullseye, Bullseye may only have grayscale colors. It cannot be used to add entirely different colors to your beast (e.g. blue-ish white color on a beast with Earth coat color)!

Design Notes

Elliptical shapes
While Bullseye may have a slightly elliptical shape to fit better onto certain areas of the beasts’ body (e.g. the shoulder), the general shape should stay rather flat and round and not have any too pointy endings as shown in the example below. Neither should the form start to look like a triangle for example!

Bullseye has no maximum range, but should not have more than three (3) circles on the whole design.

Minimum Range
Bullseye has no distinct minimum range, but must be present in a noticeable way on the beast.
