Dun (Uncommon Markings)

Dun

BigDivider

Dun is a marking that adds a hard-edged, lighter or darker colored line on the top of the beast and optionally stripes on the forehead and / or legs. Be careful to not imitate Stripes when adding the striping on the legs!
At minimum, Dun must be shown with a thick stripe running down the back but can spread over the entire upper side of the design, starting at the head, running down the back towards the end of the tail.
No matter how long the Dun stripe is, it must be a single line though and cannot be broken into multiple pieces!
Additionally, there is also the option of Primitive Dun, which allows for a more extensive striping, markings on the legs similar to Unders and two stripes on the ears.
This marking was inspired by the dun coloration found on horses, feel free to take them as inspiration if you have troubles designing your beast!

Design Notes

Stripes:
Stripes may be added on the forehead, the withers and the feet. However, to avoid them imitating Stripes they cannot be overly big!

Primitive Dun:
Primitive Dun allows for a more extensive striping on the feet as well as small stripes along the back (be careful to not make them too long as they would mimic Stripes!). Up to two small stripes on the ears and Unders like markings on the feet are possible. The example below shows the max height allowed for the feet markings.
