Mask
Mask is a marking that adds a hard-edged, lighter colored patch on the beasts’ face.
The color does not necessarily have to be lighter than the base, cream or blonde colors are allowed as well!
Holes may be added as well, in fact, we do encourage everyone to create a look similar to Spectacled Bears by adding one around the eye as this was the initial idea of the marking, however, this is entirely optional.
There is also the option of two-toned Mask, which works basically like two-toned Unders and adds a second color.
If the beast has both Mask and Honeymark, it is possible to use the “Extended Honeymark” combination, which allows Mask and Honeymark to merge together.
This marking was inspired by the prominent marking on Spectacled Bears and , in case of the two-toned mask, antelopes, feel free to take them as inspiration if you have troubles designing your beast!

Colors
Mask is relevant to and will always be lighter or darker than the base coat color of the beast.
Alternatively, Mask may be simply cream or blonde in color as well.

Design Notes
Two-toned Mask
Just like two-toned Unders, two-toned Mask adds a second color to the first one. Both colors must be relative to each other, you may not use colors that are too different from each other! The layering of both colors is relatively free.
If you feel unsure how to design it, feel free to look up antelopes with this type of marking, as we took inspirations from them for this variation!

Mask has no distinct minimum range, but must be present in a noticeable way on the beast.
