Sooty
Sooty is a marking that adds a darker, soft and textured blanket on top of the beast. It will always start on the top and move down towards the underside.
This marking is very similar to Sable, in fact, the only difference is that Sooty must be textured and allows for holes in form of reversed dapple.
It does not allow for breaks either, if the majority of the blanket shows in different, far away places on the beast, there needs to be some sort of connection between them.
This marking was inspired by the sooty coloration on horses, feel free to take them as inspiration if you have troubles designing your beast!

Design Notes
Reversed Dapple
While Dapple adds soft colored spots to the design, reversed dapple on sooty does the opposite: it creates soft-edged holes within the blanket. These holes may be textured as well and should create some sort of pattern or cluster together if no special dapple-brush was used (Dapple-brushes are mostly created by other people, they can be found on deviantArt for example). Neither should the spots be too large or be rectangular shaped like Camo for example!
Sooty vs Sable
Sooty and Sable are extremely similar. In fact, the only two (2) differences between those two markings are for one the reversed dapple Sooty allows and the texture of the edge. While Sable only allows for a simple, blended edge, Sooty’s edge must be soft as well but textured!
