Markings with no given color swatch:
This type of markings changed with the Metal gene do not keep their original color. Instead you have to pick a color from one of the swatches below.
You may mix darker and lighter colors of the picked swatch to add highlights.
Markings with given color swatch:
If a marking has already a swatch given for their color (Fox and Glossy for example), it will not have its color changed when Metal is used on it. However, to mimic the look of Metal you may add highlights.
Markings that have optional swatches (like Pied or Bloodmark) do not count for this category and have to be treated like markings without given swatches!
Metal may also be applied to Misty. However, only Option 2 may be used for it!
Metal will only change the markings’ color. The rest (edge, breaks, holes, etc) will stay the same as before.
Here are some examples how Metal could look like with soft and hard edged markings:
